A&P Training
Planning for the Future
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanics need to start training now on the systems in order to be prepared for the near future of electric and hybrid aviation. The AET-80 from Alpine Vertical is an integrated turn-key electric drive-train designed specifically for A&P training. It is a perfect complement to piston and turbine systems and compatible with industry standard run-up stands.

With a 124kW (166hp) peak motor, the AET-80 trainer includes all necessary state of the art components and is ready to run out of the box. The side covers are easily removed from the nacelle for training and observation.
Touch Screen Console
The operator’s touch screen console includes all necessary information to safely operate the system. The motor, controller, and battery packs are equipped with sensor arrays capable of monitoring all key parameters including voltages, currents, and temperatures.
Battery Management System
Powerful state of the art lithium battery pack is included and contains an integrated Battery Management System (BMS). They provide 5kWh of energy at a nominal voltage of 520V. Individual cell voltage monitoring along with distributed temperature monitoring provide battery pack diagnostics helping to prevent potential issues with the pack.
